(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula (D-Fresno) spoke passionately about the importance of protecting immigrants from El Salvador in his floor speech supporting House Resolution 69, which urges Congress and the President to reinstate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Salvadoran immigrants. “It is a shame that the TPS designation is being terminated –it is a clear sign to our Salvadoran sisters and brothers that they are no longer safe in this country,” Assemblymember Arambula said. “It is an intentional decision to endanger and destabilize their lives and rip apart thousands of families and deport hardworking individuals who are contributing to our society.”
