Assemblymember Arambula Congratulates Fresno State President Joseph Castro on His Appointment as CSU Chancellor

Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula (D-Fresno) today responded to the California State University trustees’ announcement that they have appointed Fresno State President Joseph Castro to be the next CSU Chancellor.

“My congratulations and my deepest appreciation to President Castro. His story is the story of our Central Valley, rising to challenges and inspiring others to pursue lives of purpose and service. He is a true leader and a friend, and Fresno State has benefited from his steady influence and initiative. I’m excited to see how he brings his talents and vision to the entire California State University system, the largest public university system in the nation. I know he is prepared for this prestigious position. I also want to express my appreciation to Mary Castro, who has been a stalwart supporter of Fresno State and the community and a guiding light. I wish them both the very best.”
