Assemblymember Arambula Honors Irma Olguin Jr., Co-Founder of Bitwise Industries as Woman of the Year

Sacramento, CA – Today, Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula (D-Fresno) recognized Irma Olguin Jr., Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bitwise Industries as Woman of the Year.

 

The Woman of the Year ceremony took place today in the Assembly Chambers in Sacramento.

 

“Thanks to Irma’s leadership, the tech industry is recognizing the opportunities and advantages of locating or expanding their operations in Fresno. Irma’s leadership in the tech industry is inspirational,” said Assemblymember Arambula. 

 

Irma's main role at Bitwise Industries is to make sure the company stays faithful to its mission, cast vision and identify the missing pieces in the Central Valley's burgeoning technology industry. She also acts as strategist for partnerships in each of Bitwise's divisions.

 

Founded in 2013, Bitwise Industries is comprised of three divisions: Geekwise Academy, a training program that creates an entry point into a high-growth industry; Shift3 Technologies, a software development and infrastructure firm that puts local talent to work in high-wage jobs; and a building division that creates interesting places to work for over 100 startups built around the technology industry.

 

Irma is Co-Founder of </>Edit LLC, a software company with two product subsidiaries, Buildicus Inc., and Montage Inc. Founded in 2012, </>Edit LLC's mission is to make real products for real people. Irma makes sure the company stays true to its mission by hand-picking employees that show not only an aptitude for the work, but also a real passion for making things better.

 

Irma also is the founder of fundraising platform OverFundlt LLC, where she acts as the Information Technology Manager for West Hills Financial and Nature's Joy. She is a highly sought after public speaker at educational institutions, events and conferences, and is involved in various other tech-related endeavors that aim to give people the tools to change their own lives.
