Got Diapers?

Assemblyman Arambula diaper drive event graphicDiapers are expensive – as much as $100 a month per child. Sadly, many parents in our community can’t always afford to buy diapers for their babies.

That’s why I’m asking for your help. Join me and members of our community for the 2017 Mother’s Day Diaper Drive from May 1 – May 14.   We will be collecting diapers that will be donated to Angels of Grace, a local non-profit that helps foster care children and families in our community.

Diapers will be accepted at the following locations:

  • My Capitol Office: State Capitol, Rm 5155, Sacramento, CA 94249-0031
  • My District Office: 2550 Mariposa Mall, Suite 5031, Fresno, CA 93721
  • Angels of Grace: 1095 N. Van Ness Avenue, Fresno, CA 93728

Babies who can’t get clean diapers are at a greater risk for developing rashes and infections. Daycare facilities - even subsidized programs - won’t take kids who don’t have a full day’s supply of diapers. Not having diapers is a barrier to good health for babies and an economic barrier for parents on a limited income.

It is estimated that one in three families have trouble affording diapers for their babies. In Fresno County, there are more than 6,000 children who are in the foster care system who could benefit from an emergency supply of diapers. This is a crucial need. Every diaper we collect will help children and families right here in our community.

I hope we can count on your donation at one of the above locations because our children deserve the best possible start in life.
